An advocate for professional learning to support Irish teachers in the realm of music education, she has facilitated a great deal of professional learning opportunities for primary school teachers in this area.
Examples of PD she has provided previously include:
-
A range of music education workshops including those as part of the Teaching Council’s annual FÉILTE, within Drumcondra Education Centre and international music education conferences
-
TeachMeets, classroom demonstrations and co-teaching to support NQTs in music education
-
Facilitation of a music education ‘Professional Learning Community’ for primary school teachers.
This new 10-week course is provided for Primary School teachers who wish to develop their own musical skills and understanding, while also focusing on playful teaching and learning strategies aligned with the Irish Primary Music Curriculum.
